My family left Vietnam with the fall of Saigon in 1975, settling in Southern California. I did my undergraduate work at the University of California Riverside. Stressed, with a poor diet I developed debilitating allergies and started taking allergy medication. After two years my condition grew worse and I developed a tolerance for my bad health like many. Rx medication only provided temporary relief and in the long run it didn’t help at all prompting me to see healthcare through a new lens. After clearing my allergies with saline and mucous treatments, I wanted to learn more about supporting the body’s innate capacity for self-healing.

I went on to study at the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine. Osteopathic Medicine is a distinct branch of medicine grounded in the understanding that the human body is an integrated whole—body, soul, and spirit working together in dynamic harmony. In 2002, I completed a pediatric residency at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital to become a pediatrician

I opened my pediatric office in 2003. In my second year, I started to treat parents and adults asking for care for their chronic pain. I continued getting profound results alleviating a range of issues from whiplash to back pain. More than half of my work today is treating chronic pain. My patients have called me a miracle worker. My Chinese patients are convinced I am manipulating their chi (qi). I was inspired to brand myself Dr. Fix Me on Youtube.

In 2013, I took over Dr. Lauren Feder’s holistic and integrative office in Los Angeles.

What is Osteopathic Medicine ?

Osteopathic physicians (DOs) are fully licensed medical doctors who receive additional, specialized training in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) — a hands-on approach that supports the body’s innate capacity for self-healing. Through sensitive touch, we engage the body’s tissues, fluids, and rhythms to gently restore balance, improve function, and alleviate discomfort. Osteopathic Medicine honors the intimate relationship between structure and function, recognizing that health emerges when the body’s natural forces are free to move and express themselves fully.

Rooted in science, informed by embryology, and carried by the art of listening, Osteopathic Medicine bridges modern medicine with the body’s ancient wisdom.
